I had a great time working with Kelsey and Kyle, and I’m so glad to be a part of this chapter of their lives together. The weather was wonderful and the camera loved them. We decided on the Chatham Manor in Fredericksburg, VA. These high school sweethearts were made for each other. I’m excited to be working with these two on their wedding day next year in September. Autumn weddings are gorgeous with the different colored leaves and almost perfect temperatures for outdoor photo shoots.
After spending the day taking amazing photos and learning their proposal story, I’ve gotta say Disney World has got to be one of the most magical places to plan something so important and special. Childhood memories from family trips, a nice quiet spot alone, and the perfect moment. I’m sure Kelsey felt like a princess the whole day there. It sounds like Kyle really put a lot of thought into it. Getting to hear stories like theirs and photograph these moments are reasons why I chose this career. It can make you believe in fairytales.
The entire experience was comfortable and fun, and Kelsey is a beautiful soul. Her and Kyle are a fantastic couple, and marrying your best friend is the greatest thing. Wedding planning can be stressful, especially with the covid-19 virus, but picking the colors, flowers, and decorations can be fun. Along with having family and friends all together to celebrate the union of two sweet people. I think their favorite part next to saying “I do” will be the wedding cake, but all around it’s going to be a beautiful wedding and I can’t wait to capture those precious moments for them.
