Pricilla and Darryl | A Fall Wedding at Walker's Overlook

The Proposal

Pricilla and Darryl first met in high school and graduated in the same class of 2005. However, they didn’t actually start dating until ten years later, when a mutual friend set the two of them up! Pricilla says that Darryl is very loving and caring, a sweetheart, and hilarious, too. He says that she is kind and a very family-oriented person, just like him. They are a perfect match for each other!

After a two-year courtship, Darryl proposed to Pricilla in a quiet and secluded place at Liberty Reservoir in Maryland. There is a secret spot that overlooks the reservoir, and that’s where they had one of their first dates. During that early date, the two spent time there talking and getting to know each other more, and that’s where he chose to ask her to marry him! What a PERFECT and sweet proposal! Pricilla says she was very surprised and totally caught off guard that day, because even though they had talked about getting married in the past and both knew they wanted to get married at some point, she wasn’t expecting it that particular day! She immediately said yes, and the two began planning their perfect wedding!

A Walker’s Overlook Wedding

Darryl and Pricilla both love fall, so choosing a date was easy. They knew they wanted an October wedding, and they immediately fell in love with Walker’s Overlook. The fall color theme was something that they both loved and the gorgeous venue fit their theme perfectly. They both love the rustic look, and wanted a wedding that was simple with a bit of a rustic touch.

The couple says that their favorite part of planning their wedding was choosing the theme and the colors and doing the flower arrangements and decorating. (They made all of the flower arrangements themselves except for Pricilla’s bouquet! Isn’t that some amazing DIY-ing??)

I was so honored to be chosen as Darryl and Pricilla’s wedding photographer! They are such a sweet and loving couple, and I just love how you can tell how in love they are when you look at them!
